9 DAYS! When we put our (admittedly tired) post-festival heads together and asked ourselves “what exactly IS this thing we want to try to make on May 24th?”…the answer we easily came to was that we wanted to craft a day that was all about celebrating the good and generous ways that community is celebrated and practiced here in the valley. The ways we collaborate, share, give, trade, inspire, swap. Ideas. Knowledge. Resources. Food. Skills. Stuff. ALL TOGETHER NOW is all about all of that. Our friends at @thepocketbega have been creatively and generously pouring their hearts into crafting a space in Bega-town that is also all about all of that. A space that nurtures community. We are super happy that they will be joining us next Saturday in the park to host one of their clothing swaps! Textile waste is a MASSIVE problem here in Australia (and around the world) - we’ve got a workshop all about that too! - and clothing swaps are part of community grassroots solutions to keeping clothes out of landfill and in the hands of folks who can use them. Bring something snazzy along to swap or bring some coins to trade for new threads. The Pocket is a community-love-funded project and your support helps it keep going! You’ll find the clothing swap in the park running from 10am till 2pm on Saturday May 24th as part of ALL TOGETHER NOW. See you then!

10 DAYS! In 10 days time we are going to be gathering, making, learning, lounging and all-round, good-time frolicking in the Candelo Park for the inaugural ALL TOGETHER NOW day-on-green. From 10am till 2pm the park is going to be buzzing with collaborative art making, community-building, and cool workshops. It’s a FREE event, open to everyone. Full fancy program is going to drop any moment now, but we say the best plan is to pack a picnic, rally your friends, and make a date to spend the day with us. The 4 hours will fly by! Take in a workshop (grow mushrooms! Make compost! DIY skin care products!). Dig your hands into some clay. Write a story with @ailsawild in the Story Saloon. Have a chat and leave with a poem from our Short Order Poetry crew. Grab a chai and cake from our @feast_for_freedom pop-up chai tent (all monies going straight to the legends at @asrc1 ). The Candelo P&C will be serving up some classic bbq. And our buddies at @candelocafe will be open across the street to fill any extra cravings or needs. We SO hope you’ll plan to join us. Come for an hour. Stay for the day. The world is a lot to hold. Come shoulder it with community. Remember the last-minute rain pivot 48 hours before our Candelo Village Festival back in March? We sure do. But what you may not know is that when we made the wet weather plan we ALSO planned to create something new, some way to offer all the bits and bobs we suddenly couldn’t present to you in March. We’ve been working on crafting up something special (with some new stuff thrown in too!). SO, without further ado… ALL TOGETHER NOW: a day on the green celebrating connection, collaboration and community! Saturday 24th May 10am till 2pm Candelo Park FREE We would LOVE for you to join us for this late Autumn frolic. It’s an All-Ages, All-Welcome gathering, featuring a series of low waste living workshops, collaborative art making projects, poetry, storytelling, community stalls (like @thepocketbega Clothes Swap and Candelo Food Share) and a whole lot more with a heap of good vibes. All Together Now is all about what we can make when we work together. Come and learn new skills, share ideas, tell a story, play with clay, create with your mates. It’s a free day. It’s a love up. It’s a creative smorgasbord. Pack a picnic. Throw a blanket down. Grab a chai from our @feast_for_freedom Chai tent (because caring for each other is a practice that transcends borders). It’s been a week of post-festival good vibes, tired bones and sweet relief…what a TIME that was! Thank you to every single one of you who showed up, sang, danced, supported, donated, volunteered, served food, cleaned up, smiled, played, created, listened and loved our 2025 Candelo Village Festival. Your joy and generosity blew us away. You rolled with our last-minute weather plans (while the rain decided to wait till Sunday!) and came out in full force, filling the feed shed and old hall and streets to the brim.
