SAT 29th MARCH 2025

A biennial extravaganza set in the heart of our small village on the far south coast of NSW.

Established in 1986, the Candelo Arts Society (CAS) is a not-for-profit community arts organisation with a rich history of creating and supporting the arts in many forms for just shy of 40 years.

We at CAS believe that the arts, in all their shapes and sizes, are a vital part of what makes a healthy community. We pride ourselves on hosting a diverse variety of events that showcase the work and ideas of local, national, and international creatives.

Every two years we produce the Candelo Village Festival, a rich and diverse one-day festival of music, art, performance and local culture in the small village of Candelo, located in the Bega Valley of New South Wales.

Our theme for 2025 is “Beginnings”.

We want the focus of this year’s festival to capture a real sense of our togetherness. Our togetherness is a moment in time. There’s everything that’s come before us to bring us together. There’s everything that comes after - what flows out of and is born out of our togetherness.

What has been. What is becoming.

A special Candelo Village Festival opening concert featuring four songsmiths who had their beginnings in the beautiful Bega Valley: Daniel Champagne, Felicity Dowd, Isabel Rumble and Kim Churchill.

Highly regarded in the festival and live music scene, it is a total honour to have them on stage together as they share stories and songs of home and their subsequent individual journeys in a one-off collaborative concert celebrating what has been and what is becoming.
