Six-piece Bec Taylor and the Lyrebirds deliver the "sound of what folk music did next" (Dancing About Architecture) with alt-folk-country music, rich instrumentation, and heartfelt lyrics and we at CAS are thrilled to be hosting them as they tour the country…and with our very own Pete Wild opening the show, it’s going to be a magical night!
Bec Taylor, a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, has recorded over a dozen studio records and performed at major festivals like Groovin’ The Moo and Woodford Folk Festival. Her latest project with the Lyrebirds showcases heartfelt songwriting with alt-folk-country influences, highlighted in their acclaimed album, 'Limbs & All'. Written while pregnant and nursing her firstborn, the album is infused with a sincere, motherly touch.
Candelo's own Pete Wild will open the evening. Pete probably requires no introduction; if you do require an introduction, come along and I'm sure he'll shake your hand.
